I was at first sceptical when my friend mentioned doing Yoga and Pilates at Thrive. I have previously done some Pilates and really didn’t notice or feel a benefit. Well you certainly feel it after attending Shelley’s classes. Wow it opened my eyes up to Pilates - whether with the ball, big ones, little ones, the wall, the bar or the floor, the classes have been really enjoyable and beneficial. Going to sweat tomorrow! Each week I also try to do a Yoga class with Amy. This is my switch off. I am starting to appreciate the art with the help of Amy. I am more flexible and am totally at one when doing the class. I forget all my worries and think about how I have treated people that week etc. I am thoroughly enjoying these classes. Thrive Yoga and Pilates studio is a place where you are welcomed and nurtured. Amy and Shelley provide a peaceful retreat from the busy outside world. I have two total knee replacements and the care and attention I am given while doing Pilates or Yoga is very reassuring. The studio is a calm space, attention to detail is impeccable and the Pilates and Yoga is of the highest standard. My wife has been doing both Yoga and Pilates for a few years. She has been trying to get me to do it for quite a while but I have always been self-conscious as I can be a little uncoordinated. At our gym, we had flyers for Thrive Yoga & Pilates Studio grand opening. Both my wife and I decided to register for a few of the classes. When the day finally came I was nervous as this was going outside my comfort zone. I did a class with both Amy and Shelley. Both instructors were great - really understanding and very knowledgeable. They made me feel welcome and comfortable. The studio is nice and intimate in a great location. Since opening day both my wife and myself are regulars at Thrive.
