Trapeze Yoga Flow
Hatha Yoga asanas will be combined with the use of the Yoga Trapeze.
A yoga practice that integrates the Yoga Trapeze, even if just once or twice a week, can include pushing, pulling, holding, hip opening, twists, backbends, forward bends, and more. Yoga students can work their shoulders, calm their nerves, and leave class floating on air.
While many of the yoga poses we do on the Yoga Trapeze look very similar to their mat-based counterparts, the dynamics are unique. The Yoga Trapeze demands a great deal of upper body and core strength for even the most basic movements, such as getting in and out of the sling. It adds in the missing ‘pull’ motion lacking in mat-based classes.
The next big difference is the passive nature of many of the poses, particularly the backbends and shoulder stretches. Using the Yoga Trapeze, you’re able to assume extremely deep backbends in a passive way, allowing you to safely hold poses for long periods of time.
The class will include Pranayama and relaxation and suitable for beginners. Please arrive 10 minutes early to allow for set up.
Trapeze Yoga Restorative
The focus of the class is complete relaxation of mind and body. Students are supported by the Yoga Trapeze with poses held for longer periods 5 minutes or longer.
The class includes light twists, forward falls, gentle backbends and heart openers. It will also include Pranayama and relaxation and suitable for beginners. Please arrive 10 minutes early to allow for set up.
